Robert Key deserves our thanks for 27 years of service8.15.00pm GMT Mon 7th Dec 2009 Nick Radford, the Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Salisbury constituency, recently issued this press release in response to the news that Robert Key is standing down as Salisbury's MP. Responding to the announcement that Robert Key has chosen not to stand for re-election as Salisbury's MP for health reasons, Prospective Lib Dem MP for Salisbury, Nick Radford, said: "I am sure I speak for many in Salisbury and South Wiltshire when I thank Robert Key for his 27 years of service to our area. "Although our opinions differed, he was always willing to listen to another point of view. In all my dealings with him I found him a gracious, affable character who always worked hard for his constituents and spoke passionately on topics that he believed in. "It's never fair to be forced to stand down on health grounds and I want to wish him all the very best for his health and I hope he enjoys his retirement."
