James has lived in the Figheldean area all his life, except while studying Environmental Law at London University. A farmer, He was elected to the council in 1999. James is a CPRE member, with a deep understanding of rural issues; also a member of the Salisbury Plain Heritage Group and of a local PCC.

Murial has previously been a councillor for Harnham ward and District Council Chairman. She has worked for over 40 years for BT Plc. She is heavily involved in several community organisations in and around Harnham, serving as chairman of Harnham Neighbourhood Council and a governor of Harnham Junior School.

A former Parliamentary Candidate for Salisbury. In 1992 Paul had the highest vote (22,573) ever recorded for a Liberal in Salisbury in the 20th century, turning Salisbury into one of the most winnable seats in Britain. He is a former Leader of the Liberal Democrats on Wiltshire County Counci, and now leads his Group on Salisbury District Council. Paul is a Justice of the Peace, and married with two children. He is a company Managing Director.

Born in Tisbury, Bobbie moved to Salisbury in 1958, where she and husband Malcolm were shopkeepers for many years. A District Councillor since 1995, she has served as Chairman of Community Initiatives, Chair of City Area Committee, and vice chair Resources Overview and Scrutiny Panel. Also, in 2003 she was appointed the 743rd Mayor of Salisbury.

Bobbie is involved in many local organisations, including the Salisbury Local History group. Local Charter Market Traders, Salisbury Museum; and is a governor of St Martins Junior School. She and Malcolm have a daughter and two grandchildren.

First elected in 1995, Colin has lived in Shrewton for over 25 years. Married with two grown-up children, he retired in 1998 after 23 years as a Probation Officer. He is involved with several village groups and organisations, as well as the Methodist Church. First elected to the SDC and Wiltshire County Council in 1991 and 1993 respectively, Ian is married with one daughter, and lives in Winterbourne Stoke. His working life was in engineering. His particular interests on the councils are Transport and the Environmenal policy issues that affect the rural wards.

Born in Wilton, Peter has been both a Leading Firefighter and Mayor of the town; and a Town or District Councillor since 1990. Now a businessman, Peter has served on several local boards and council committees.
