Victoria Charleston's comment on the Prime Minister's resignation

20 Oct 2022

Boris Johnson failed our country and Liz Truss trashed our economy.

People in Salisbury and South Wiltshire deserve better than this incompetent and chaotic Tory government, which has sent mortgages spiralling while our NHS services are stretched to breaking point.”

Instead of putting his country and constituents first, Mr. Glenn continued to support first Boris Johnson and then Liz Truss - as demonstrated by his vote on Monday night to support fracking and break yet another Tory manifesto pledge.

Once again, I find myself calling for a general election so we can remove this disastrous government. At the next election people in our community will be backing the Liberal Democrats to get a fair deal on the NHS and the cost of living instead of more Conservative chaos.
