Sam Charleston and Lynne Blackwood are elected in a sensational by-election result. Last night saw Salisbury Liberal Democrats decisively win the Salisbury St Paul's ward Wiltshire by-election and city council by-election, gaining the seats from the Conservatives.
The Conservatives call it chaos. I call it debilitating ineptitude that is having a direct and devastating impact on households across Salisbury and South Wiltshire. The resignation of Boris Johnson was supposed to steady the Conservative ship. Instead, Liz Truss’ six weeks as Prime Minister have all but sunk it.
On Thursday 3rd November, voters in Salisbury St Paul's will choose their councillors for Wiltshire and City council, following the sad passing of ward colleague, Mary Webb.
